As one of Canada’s most respected business-minded producers, Janice brings to Corner Gas Animated years of expertise in financing and delivering screen-based content. Janice has produced and overseen hundreds of hours of dramatic, documentary, factual and interactive content that has won awards and sold internationally. Over her career, she has formed strong relationships with the creative community, broadcasters, buyers and financiers. She served as Consulting Producer of Corner Gas: The Movie and is delighted to rejoin the team for the Corner Gas reboot as an animated series.
Andrew Carr

Andrew Carr
Andrew Carr has been a part of the Corner Gas franchise from the beginning. He worked as a writer and story editor for the live action series, a co-writer for the movie and now a supervising producer for the animated series.
Originally from Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Andrew’s career in comedy began in stand-up comedy where he performed in clubs and corporate events across Canada and the United States of America. He also made numerous appearances on television and events such as the Montreal “Just For Laughs” Comedy Festival and the Vancouver Comedy Festival.
Andrew has garnered numerous writing awards and nominations over the years including two Canadian Comedy awards and a Leo award. His other writing credits include being Executive Story Editor for “Little Mosque On The Prairie,” Supervising Producer for “Hiccups,” and Senior Story Editor for “InSecurity.”
Andrew makes his home in Greater Vancouver where he continues to write and develop shows for film and television.

Jonas Diamond is the Executive Producer of Smiley Guy Studios. For over 15 years, Jonas has been instrumental in growing the company’s production business and arranging financing for its many original properties. Jonas joined up with the Guys in 1999 and successfully arranged financing for and produced the award-winning animated series “Odd Job Jack.” The series received a Gemini, CFTPA Indie, Banff Rockie and Canada New Media Award for Best Cross Platform Project. Additional accolades for “Odd Job Jack” include a nomination for Best Interactive Program and Best Animated Show at the Banff Rockie Awards, Best Convergent Project by the Banff Institute as well as multiple Canadian Comedy Award and Gemini nominations (including 2 for Best Comedy). Jonas’ Producer credits include: “Odd Job Jack,” “Space Riders,” Corner Gas: The Movie – Digital for Bell Media; “Pillars of Freedom” and “Finding Stuff Out” – Online for TVO; “Turbo Dogs,” “Chirp,” and “The Curse of Clara” for CBC; “The Dating Guy,” “Skatoony,” and “GeoFreakZ” for Teletoon; “Dad Drives” and “Operation Unplugged” – Digital for Blue Ant; “Überdude” and “Teleporting Fat Guy” for Smosh; Baby Cow co-productions “Warren United,” “SOS: Save Our Skins” and “Wussywat;” and the Emmy/Rockie/Digi/Canadian Screen Award winning “Guidestones.” Jonas is also a board member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & TV.

Leslie Thomas has worked at renowned animation studios including Nelvana, Brown Bag Films, 9 Story Media Group and Smiley Guy Studios. With more than 20 years of production experience, Leslie started her career in Vancouver and Toronto and has worked across Canada and internationally. Leslie is inspired by the highly creative and collaborative process of animation, working with the most talented teams in production and post-production. Leslie is a producer at Vérité Films currently in production on Corner Gas Animated Season 2.
Robert de Lint

Robert de Lint
Robert de Lint is the co-founder of Vérité Films and is an award-winning director, producer and TV show creator. He’s been a key creative contributor (as a director, writer or creative producer) in over 250 episodes of prime time television.
Robert was executive producer, co-creator and key director of “InSecurity,” a 23-part narrative comedy series on CBC. He co-created and executive produced the one-hour drama pilot “The Dealership” for Global staring Tricia Helfer, Patrick Adams and William Devane.
Robert directed over 20 episodes of Corner Gas and won a Canadian Comedy Award, a DGC Award and was nominated for a Gemini Award for his work on this series. Robert was creative producer and second unit director on the award-winning Corner Gas: The Movie — the highest rated Canadian scripted program in the 2014/15 season.
Prior to Corner Gas, Robert was co-showrunner of the 52-part youth dramatic series “renegadepress.com” and the 65-part children’s series “Incredible Story Studio.” On both series, Robert was key director and won multiple awards for his contributions.
Prior to co-founding Vérité Films (with his partner Virginia Thompson), Robert worked as a senior picture editor on a host of award-winning series, feature length films and documentaries in Toronto. Recently, Robert has returned to editing passion projects and is currently working on CBC’s “Kim’s Convenience.”
Robert got his start in the industry on the “Degrassi” franchise.
Robert is a member of the Director’s Guild of Canada and the Writer’s Guild of Canada.

Virginia Thompson, co-founder of Vérité Films, is an award-winning executive producer, TV series creator and audience engagement strategist.
Currently, Virginia is Executive Producer of The Governor General Performing Arts Awards (GGPAA) Gala, which recently opened Canada’s New National Arts Centre and launched Canada’s 150 Celebrations in Ottawa. She is also the Executive Producer of Corner Gas Animated, the new prime time animated re-boot of Canada’s most beloved comedy series.
Virgina also Executive Produced Corner Gas: The Movie. The hit feature film won the 2016 Golden Screen Award for the highest rated scripted program in Canada, reaching 7 million Canadians across multiple platforms. Working with Bell Media, Telefilm and Cineplex, Virginia championed a new “event-based” release model for Canadian features to maximize viewership of Corner Gas: The Movie. Virginia also executive produced the original Corner Gas sitcom. The #1 rated smash-hit series changed the comedy landscape in Canada, and has become an indelible part of Canadian culture.
Prior to Corner Gas, Virginia was Executive Producer/Co-Creator of the comedy series “InSecurity”, the award-winning youth series “renegadepress.com,” and the internationally-acclaimed children’s series “Incredible Story Studio.” “Incredible Story Studio” was a highly interactive series that took short stories written by school children from across Canada, the UK, France and Germany, and made them into “movies” for television.
Virginia’s productions have won or been nominated for over 114 Awards. In 2012, she was inducted onto Ryerson’s School of Media Wall of Fame. In 2008, Virginia won the WIFT Award for Creative Excellence in screen-based media. She enjoys mentoring emerging creators and regularly lectures at the National Screen Institute and Ryerson School of Media.
